De Nieuwe Liefde, previously named Thalatta has been transporting goods under sail between the various ports around the Baltic Sea ever since 1937. Towards the end of the Eighties (of the last century) she was decommissioned and subsequently brought to the Netherlands.
There she led a declining existence until 1998 when a devotee succumbed to the charm of her beautiful and bold structural lines. Drawings were made and one year later renovation began. The stern and the rope work regained their familiar silhouette. Below deck a comfortable accommodation was fitted.
